OK, so today when my 1 year old was napping I was able to get some serious quilting done. In fact I got the whole top done and put together. Perfect it is not, pretty it is. Now i have the task of cutting all of the hearts and the sun bonnet sue and Lauren (the babies name) out of the remaining fabric. This is going to take forever, then not to mention appliqueing them to the quilt it self. So while the kids are in bed for now on I will be cutting it all out. I think I will end up dreaming about hearts. LOL. So does anyone have any suggestions for "squaring" my quilt top and appliqueing a hundred hearts?

Awe, doing great, love the pattern and fun stuff to do while the kids are in bed, time for relaxing..Try to applique them with wonder under then zigzag stitch down...Keep on quilting and having fun...

Looks great Abby. I love it. So jealous I haven't started one. As far as the applique goes... good luck. I have never done it. BUt I hear it's not too hard. :)
Welcome to blogland!
How wonderful to make a quilt for your sweet expected baby...
I am with Lise on this one, use wonder under or Steam-a-Seam, and machine quilt the applique. If you don't know how, do you have a friend around that could show you? Or check the internet for a tutorial...
Happy Stitchings!
